Administration officials say the White House is changing its policy on the use of the run on the Puerto Rican island of Vieques. Washington correspondent Brian Thomas has the latest.

President Bush has decided to end the bombing on Vieques by 2003. Several administration officials say the navy is expected to make the formal announcement Thursday. Opposition to the exercises grew after a was killed on the range in 1999 by errant bombs. Since then, there've also been regular demonstrations by island residents as well as activists and politicians from the US mainland.
