Shark Bites Reported
in Florida Waters

Anchor: Sharks in the waters off Florida have bitten some more surfers. Three surffered non-life-threatening bites today. Another three were bitten yesterday. Joe Wodden, deputy chief of beach operations for Volusia County, says shark attacks are still .

Wooden: You have a better chance of winning the Florida lottery than you do, uh, have of getting bitten by a shark. So the odds are extremely remote that you would ever get bitten. But if you still arrive at a beach destination and you have concerns, uh, just remember, uh you know, if the water's murky, that's, you know, a, a, clue to watch out for.

Anchor: Most of the attacks were at New Smyrna Beach, where shark bait fish are plentiful.
