Natural Method Found in AIDS Fight

Researchers say they have figured out a method to help control HIV from spreading in people already taking powerful AIDS drugs. According to the journal "Nature," study participants infected with the virus used AIDS drugs to shield their immune system until it its defense. When the drugs were discontinued, researchers noticed an increase in some participants' immune system that was strong enough to fight the disease on its own. Experts agree patients treated early on will have a better chance of controlling the disease.
