Hercules (6)

Hercules took out his sword and went towards the water snake. He cut off one head. Then he cut off another head. Then he cut off some more heads, but each time he cut off one head two more heads grew.
Hercules said, ¡°I must try another plan.¡± He told Iolaus to set fire to some bushes. The bushes were near the fountain. Iolaus set fire to the bushes, and Hercules went towards the water snake again. He lifted his sword and cut off one head. Then he burnt it. No more heads grew. He cut off another head and burnt it. No more heads grew. At last only one head was left.
This head did not burn. So he found a huge rock and rolled it over the head. Then Hercules dipped his arrows in the water snake¡¯s poison.
After that Hercules went back to the king for the third task.
